RWCFI congratulates Ivan Backer of Hartford Connecticut on the release of his new book "My Train to Freedom: A Jewish Boy's Journey from Nazi Europe to a Life of Activism,” He is 86 years old and has spent his life working to benefit the poor, the disenfranchised, people whose voices were not heard. His entire adulthood, every time Backer needed to act on an important matter, questions would pop into his mind.

"Rescuing Raoul Wallenberg" - Sonja Sonnenfeld's Story

During the Pre-Production phase of the documentary "Rescuing Raoul Wallenberg",

more than 100 hours of HD footage were collected, revealing the life story of Sonja

Sonnenfeld. Well into her late nineties, Sonja continued speaking to German students

about her experiences during the holocaust and her work to free Wallenberg from Russia.

Exciting New Project Advisor

Vladimir Bukovsky, writer, scientist, and human rights campaigner, has agreed to a preliminary filmed interview to assist the "Rescuing Raoul Wallenberg" film development. He has also consented to a more formal and in-depth interview when we have reached the Production stage. New Project Advisor Shares Expertise

Interview with Frank Vajda M.D.

Dr. Frank Vajda of Australia, who was born in Budapest, Hungary, has graciously agreed to do a filmed preliminary interview in Stockholm. He will share both his own story of survival and his expansive knowledge about Raoul Wallenberg. It has been agreed that an immediate interview will assist us with Pre-Production research and development, while a longer second interview will also be filmed once the Documentary project has reached the Production stage.

Remembering a True Hero

Sonja Sonnenfeld

The inspiring Sonja Sonnenfeld, who dedicated herself to rescuing Raoul Wallenberg and making a difference in a sometimes indifferent world, recently passed away. RWCFI is very grateful to Sonja's generous family for allowing us to film the personal memorial services; Mrs. Sonnenfeld's mission, message and spirit will continue to live on, along with Raoul Wallenberg. We have lost a truly great hero and an inspiration to all those she has touched and will continue to reach through her filmed lectures and interviews.
